There were hints but they were never made obvious. After a few albums, singles, and EP releases, Nashville’s Palm Ghosts is set to return this October with its new long player, Content Providers (Steadfast/Sweet Cheetah/Poptek). The new album just might be challenging listeners and fans alike, offering up its most realized work to date. The trio of musicians – Joseph Lekkas (vocals, guitars, keyboards, and bass), Benjamin Douglas (guitars, keyboards, and vocals) and Walt Epting (drums) – have compiled no less than 11 tracks within the release and hold nothing back.
The band, these beautiful bastards of post-punk gloom has flipped the script with its first single, “Last Of The Holdouts,” a sweet & gooey pop gem, easily chewable filled with an inoculation of flavors. Palm Ghosts celebrate the announcement of its new album & single with the animated video companion, a collage of imagery that suits both the band and the song itself.
