SUUNS Share Video “The Trilogy”

This Friday, Montreal band SUUNS (Ben Shemie, Joe Yarmush, and Liam O’Neill) will release their new album, The Witness (Joyful Noise Recordings), their most generous, stripped-down, and affecting work to date. Today, they present a new single/video, “The Trilogy,” and announce a special listening party and Q+A to celebrate the album release. It will be hosted on the band’s YouTube channel tomorrow, September 2nd, at 3pm EST. “The Trilogy” unwinds with filtered vocals that are matched by mulling, contorting instrumentation. “This song best represents the patience that we allowed ourselves on The Witness, our willingness to let things unfold on their own accord without pushing too much,” says O’Neill. “The mandate with ‘The Trilogy’ was to set up a groove that feels good, and then not do anything, which gives the song the endless feeling around which to sing about history and the future, complacency, and patience.” The accompanying visuals were directed by Antoine Dasseville.
