Aesop Rock has announced his latest album, Spirit World Field Guide (Rhymesayers Entertainment), is set to drop on November 13. Early reports have offered that the songs collected on the 21 tracks are some of the most expansive and ambitious work by the clever wordsmith/producer. In ways, the album is conceptual and peppered throughout with anecdotes, recipes, survival tips, warnings, maps, drawings, and more.

The album’s parallel world comes into vivid, breathing focus via a music video for standout track “The Gates,” directed by Rob Shaw, utilizing illustrations by Justin “Coro” Kaufman, who also designed the album’s vivid cover.
