Highlands share video for "Show Me," ready LP and EP

Brooklyn Vegan has premiered Highlands’ video for the song “Show Me,” off the Long Beach, California band’s latest LP, Dark Matter Traveler. The stunning, NSFW peyote-vision of a clip was directed by Chad Huff.
Dark Matter Traveler, produced by Rollie Ulug (Graf Orlock, Dangers), was released in July on the band’s own Say Again Records. Mixing British shoegaze and West Coast psychedelia, Highlands earned love from outlets like CMJ who referred to the band’s sound as “waves of Ride-like storm clouds… molasses thick.”
Highlands will follow up the LP with a new EP titled Dark Matter Remnants, out November 18 on Say Again. Dark Matter Remnants consists of five tracks recorded during the Dark Matter Traveler sessions that didn’t make it onto the full-length. The paintings adorning the covers of both the LP and the EP are by the late Yan Burdzinski.
