Australian indie rock band The Griswolds’ debut album BE IMPRESSIVE came out yesterday on Wind-up Records, with an “impressive” start, peaking at #5 on theiTunes Alternative Chart and #33 on the overall chart. The album release is coming off the back of the band’s recent radio hit for their track “Beware The Dog”, currently sitting at #17 on the Alternative Radio Charts. The song is getting played at some of the biggest stations in North America, like KROQ in LA, SF’s LIVE 105 and Q101 in Chicago, as well as reaching the #1 on SirusXM station Alt Natiion’s “The Alt 18.” You can watch the video for the song here.
In anticipation of the album’s release last week, the band shared tracks off the album including “If You Wanna Stay” with Neon Gold, “Live This Nightmare” withEarmilk, and “16 Years” with Billboard , which also has an interview with lead singer Chris Whitehall. BE IMPRESSIVE was produced by Tony Hoffer, best known for his work with M83, Beck, and Fitz & The Tantrums.
They just wrapped a North American summer tour with Miniature Tigers. Expect more tour dates this Fall!
