Song Premiere: Frances & The Foundation, "Allison"

Samantha Frances wrote the first Frances & the Foundation songs in a friend’s living room while bouncing between Colorado Springs and Seattle. Frances rock n’ roll. The band has grown their alternative aesthetic with a dirtier, hard-hitting sound while maintaining the catchiness of today’s rock-pop hits.
Frances & The Foundation’s influences derive from the world around them, but ultimately comes from the mind and soul of Samantha. Frances’ relatable lyrics and versatile vocal styles has lead them to unique opportunities, including shows with punk veterans The Gaslight Anthem and Grammy Award winning soul-rockers The Alabama Shakes. Frances & the Foundation will be releasing a three-track 7’’ in 2016, with a debut full-length album to follow in 2017. The rock act will be touring throughout November and December to spread their music throughout the land.
Today, Ghettoblaster has the pleasure of sharing Frances & The Foundation’s new single, “Allison.” An unfiltered track straight from the soul of singer Samantha Frances, the song explores lost love & the toxic fallout of Frances’ missed connection; proving sometimes you just need to be set free.
“My close friend would always find herself in an on again off again relationship. Whenever she was unhappy with her boyfriend she would hit on me and use me. At first you think the attention is flattering, until you start to develop those deeper feelings,” said Frances.
The grinding drum beat and melody provide a catharsis reminding you that no matter how pissed you are, you always have a choice to let go.
