Pyramid Mass releases its forthcoming EP, Gargling Rot (Ossien Records), which drops on March 18th, 2025.
Pyramid Mass, comprised of Matt Wild (drums/vocals), Nick Crider (guitar/vocals), and Joey Anderson (bass/vocals/synth), was formed in 2014 in Richmond, Virginia. After several years of experimenting with their sound, Pyramid Mass has honed in on a more avant-garde perspective on thrash, black metal, and hardcore. Drawing influence from a variety of bands including Mortiferum, Liturgy, Krallice, Gorguts, Plebeian Grandstand, Caustic Wound, and Kayo Dot, Pyramid Mass focuses on a sound that rejects complicity through somber and inspiring aggression.
Today, the band shares a live performance video of “Spectre.”
Gargling Rot was recorded by Kevin Bernsten (Full of Hell, Magrudergrind, Weekend Nachos, Noisem, Pig Destroyer) at Developing Nations in Baltimore, and mastered by James Plotkin (Sunn O))), Isis, Pelican). Gargling Rot will be released on cassette (ltd. edition of 100) with hand-numbered inserts. Pre-order it here.
