The Brick City is notoriously recognized for birthing an assortment of artists who thrive through crisis and catharsis. With the world on edge the last couple of years, it proved a minor setback for The Jack Moves, already two albums into its career, 2015’s self-titled release, and 2018’s Free Money. The soulful duo perseveres and moves forward.
Now as the saying goes in in Alphabet City, depending on your appetite: Ave. A for acid, Ave. B for boodah, Ave. C for coke, Ave. D for dope… and the list goes on. The Jack Moves return with a new single, covering the Frenchman Don Cavalli’s bluesy junkie testament “Vitamin A” (Everloving Records). Here they take the song and make it their own, creating a sultry and evocative version of the original. The video for the single delivers the imagery of the cautionary tale searching for that next fix, that mesmerizing high in lieu of an actual good time.
On the heels of the release of its new video, The Jack Moves are set to briefly tour the next couple of months through parts of the south, west, and southwest. Dates are listed below.
