Scrolling through the long list of wonders that the city of Chicago provides people, the bustling music scene has provided a constant stream of creativity. Singer-songwriter nicholas captures you with a level of breeziness in his vocals and an assortment of lush instrumentals accompanying him magnificently.

Following a string of singles dropped this past summer, nicholas has released a video for “How Much We Do Know,” which comes off his experimental soul album HEAT ISLAND EFFECT. The video was directed by Tim Nagle, a photographer and music video director for other Chicago acts such as Whitney, Lala Lala, Twin Peaks, and more.

“Tim and I like to have fun,” said nicholas. “This is our third video together and we wanted to feast on every shot. The song is about the toll it takes to conform to the world around us. A world not of our own choosing. We are over-inundated with brain rot and advertising, and I wanted to make something that would stimulate the imagination.”
