Runnner (Los Angeles-based songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist Noah Weinman) is releasing his sophomore full-length, A Welcome Kind of Weakness (Run For Cover Records), this Friday, August 29th. Today he’s sharing one more early taste of the album, the absolutely soaring, “Claritin.”
A Welcome Kind of Weakness finds Runnner diving into a widescreen sound reminiscent of the early 2000s indie rock boom. “Claritin” conjures up the nostalgia of early Coldplay or Band of Horses and revitalizes them with a modern indie folk spin. The track follows a non-stop run of earlier singles including “Get Real Sleep,” “Achilles And,” “Coinstar,” “Spackle,” “Chamomile,” and “Untitled October Song,” and offers one more reason to look forward to hearing A Welcome Kind of Weakness in full on Friday.
