JD Pinkus Shares “Mind”

Following a slew of tasty singles, today, JD Pinkus finally shares his LP, Grow a Pair (Shimmy-Disc). Along with the record’s release, he shares a third single, “If I Could Read My Mind”, a song that JD says is “about an endless journey to that mystical place called home.”

The single is shared alongside a music video that helps to set the scene for the incredible instrumentation present on the track. The catchy banjo hook and steady plucking of the upright bass set the tone as we see Pinkus trudging the country roads with a rucksack flung over his shoulder. The video was filmed timelessly, Super 8, by famed photographer and old-school cinematographer, Hunter Barnes.

Pinkus is hitting the road late this summer as support for Melvins leader King Buzzo (Buzz Osborne) and Mr. Bungle’s Trevor Dunn’s co-headlining tour.
