Dirt Buyer Shares “Get To Choose,” Announces New Album

Dirt Buyer is the project of Joe Sutkowski, a Brooklyn-based musician who has released two well-regarded albums under the name, while becoming a familiar face in independent music circles, appearing as a live member of This Is Lorelei and sharing stages with artists like Horse Jumper of Love, Greg Freeman, and fantasy of a broken heart.

Sutkowski’s last LP as Dirt Buyer II was released on Bayonet Records (Beach Fossils, Mei Semones, Being Dead) in October of 2023. A foray into heavier material and his first release on Bayonet, the album stood out as significant step forward in both its fidelity and the sophistication of Sutkowski’s songwriting.

Today, following last month’s standalone single “Betchu Won’t” Sutkowski is announcing Dirt Buyer III (Bayonet), out 2/6/26, and sharing the lead single “Get To Choose,” alongside a video shot at the band’s recent DirfFest show at Substance Skate Park in Brooklyn.

Sutkowski says of the track:

“This song is about feeling very alone in a situation I didn’t want to be in, but not knowing how to communicate that. It’s like being really, really tiny and screaming, but you’re too small and nobody can hear you.”
