Kingston, NY’s lo-fi Battle Ave announces its long-awaited follow-up to 2015’s Year Of Nod, in the form of a self-titled EP that’s slated for release on October 8th. The release was produced by Kevin McMahon (Titus Andronicus, Real Estate, Swans) and Battle Ave shares the lead single “My Year With The Wizard.” The single is released through its surreal and harrowing video.

Battle Ave is replete with a dense melodic haze throughout, and “Wizard” features its own haunting twin melodies from moody distorted guitars, along with piercing drums that are juxtaposed with a bright indie-pop chorus. Within its narrative, guitarist/vocalist Jesse Doherty considers the transience of friendship and the danger of forgetting yourself in your relationships.
