Up next is the laid-back delivery of Great Neck, NY emcee AWOL Da Mindwriter and his production cohort JHershey. The duo dropped the new video this morning, continuing AWOL Da Mindwriter’s passion for gaming and Hip-Hop with “NBA Jam.” The track is a soulful slap of 90’s nostalgia detailed in rhyme. The video – directed by LAKITU – reflects the track, filmed in grainy VHS resolution style.

“NBA Jam” is the second track off of the forthcoming album SEGA-AM2 (7EmeraldsMedia  Label) and follows a 2021 EP that preceded it.  The single/video follows “Screaming Down The Block,” which was released several months ago, and also reminiscences of the emcee’s childhood.

For AWOL Da Mindwriter, SEGA-AM2 will also tackle a myriad of personal experiences including his brush with death, PTSD, racism, and loss.
