After releasing a self-produced debut EP in the spring of 2022, German-American art punkers Lawn Chair returned to the studio in the autumn to record their follow-up. Eat The Beans And Wear The Jeans! was recorded with the help of esteemed producer Olaf Opal  (The Notwist) and L.A.-based mixer Chris Coady (Beach House, Future Islands, TV On The Radio), who helped take the songs to the next level.

The new songs present a new and interesting twist to timeless topics like unrequited love, the despondent boredom growing up in the countryside, and the hardships of show business. With this new EP LAWN CHAIR is underscoring its rightful ambitions to a much larger audience.

The band shares its new single “Sunset Heartbreak,” which tells the story of a rural laggard who is constantly pitying himself and blaming everything but his own shortcomings. The song is packed with lethargic resentment and intense longing for that long-lost love all wrapped in catchy guitar riffs and cowbell goodness.

Eat The Beans And Wear The Jeans!, due out April 28th, refines the band’s own blend of indie and punk rock, adding wavy atmospheres, jangly country guitars, and the occasional synthesizer to the raw and powerful sound the band is known for. In May 2023, to celebrate the release of their new EP, LAWN CHAIR will tour throughout Germany before going on to stage dive at many of Europe’s finest festivals this Summer.
