Filmed in the breathtakingly landscape of White Sands National Monument in New Mexico, Wye Oak today debuted their video for the single/title of their latest album “The Louder I Call, The Faster It Runs”.
Directed by Dan Huiting, here is what the duo said about the video’s direction: “We went to the desert. It might seem hot, but it was actually cold. What is the point of all this? You’ll never outrun yourself. The past is always at your heels.”
Released worldwide on April 6 via Merge Records, The Louder I Call, The Faster It Runs is being labeled as Wye Oak’s biggest, broadest, boldest music to date. Expect “wielding hooks and musical intricacy as a shield against the madness of the moment” within the songs.
The Louder I Call, The Faster It Runs is available for pre-order on CD and limited edition “sand & sky” (opaque beige & translucent blue) Peak Vinyl now.
