Josh Berwanger (Radar State, The Anniversary, Only Children) has been hard at work crafting new material recently. The musician is set to release his fourth solo album next year as well as a split 7″ with Casey James Prestwood and the Burning Angels (Casey from Hot Rod Circuit) in November.
In anticipation of the new tunes being released, Berwanger will be premiering a new video each week in July, with the last one being the lead single from the upcoming album. Ghettoblaster is proud to premiere today the third video in the series “Booty Shake”. The single itself is taken from the album Exorcism Rock, released in 2016 on Doghouse Records.
Here is Berwanger’s story behind of the video project:
“For the past five years I have been making music videos for different songs from each of our albums and EPs and I just never did anything with most of them. However, last month I randomly found a video we did on a hard drive and that inspired me to edit it and search for all the other video footage we have made and edit them to release. Some of them are definitely “B-Movie” quality. But, who doesn’t love movies with budgets as big as Troll 2 and The Eliminators?”
Here is what Berwanger said about the making of the video for “Booty Shake”:
“When I was in High School, I was really into making movies with friends, mostly horror shorts with titles like “Azer” about a Blazer that came to life and killed people. “The Aerobics Instructor” about three teens taking an aerobics class and they made fun of the teacher who had really low self esteem and bad temper, he couldn’t handle them not taking the class seriously so he took revenge on them. Other films “The Party Crasher Slasher,” “Melvin’s Funhouse,” “Big Fries, Small City,” “Revenge of the Living Trash” and so on. For the “Booty Shake” video, I hooked up this Videonics Titlemaker I got for Christmas in the 90’s and made this ridiculous video starring, Christian Jankowski of The Anniversary.”
