The Budos Band and SingleCut Beer have teamed up to create a beer celebrating the band’s newest record, Burnt Offering. The beer, also named Burnt Offering, is a riff on SingleCut’s John Michael Dark Lyric Lagrrr!, a dark lager with the flavors of chocolate and light roast coffee. Inspired by the murky mood of Budos Band’s upcoming record as well as past album covers featuring scorpions, snakes, and fire, Burnt Offering features the addition of char-roasted jalapeños to add a nasal-tickling brightness and sweetness to the aroma and the flavor.
The beer will be available at select bars in Williamsburg this Saturday as part of a bar crawl with the band. The crawl features stops at band favorites The Anchored Inn, The Drink, Spuyten Duyvil, Barcade, and Harefield Road. The Budos Band will release their fourth album, Burnt Offering, on October 21 via Daptone Records. The album sees Budos pushing further into darker, heavier, and more psychedelic territory than ever before. Burnt Offering is now streaming in advance via Spotify and can be pre-ordered via iTunes.
