New Orleans rapper and singer Pell shares his new video for “Patience,” with a new “NOLA Mix” brass band version of the track, out with Red Bull Sound Select. Of the new remixed track, Pell had this to say:
“I would like to dedicate this video to the victims of Hurricane Harvey and the people of Texas. With Katrina, I experienced firsthand how catastrophic Mother Nature can be, and saw the strength and resolve of the people of New Orleans to rebuild together through its devastation. I hope this video can serve as a symbol of positivity: we will support each other and come back stronger. Prayers to those in Texas.”
After Katrina, Pell, as a teen, and his mother were forced to relocate due to the destructive force of the hurricane. But with two amazing albums Floating While Dreaming (2014) & LIMBO (2015)

 
Inspired by his hometown of New Orleans, Pell reworked the original London On Da Track produced single by adding horns and enlisting a local, all-female cast for his second line. “The women in this video are meant to represent the diversity of beauty, no matter what conventional norms want us to believe,” says Pell. “The song and video showcase a bridge between traditional New Orleans brass and second line customs – with a new hip hop perspective on top.” Director Alan Del Rio Ortiz (St. Vincent, Solange, Fetty Wap), says of shooting in New Orleans, “the music was so vivid it would be impossible not to follow that lead with the video.”
