Listening to Matt Popleluch’s project Big Search’s latest single “Stillness In The Air” feels as if you’re eavesdropping on a dreamy stream of consciousness.  It should also be stated that the fourteen plus years living in Los Angeles doesn’t hurt with shaping the single’s sound. Vocals from James Mercer and Kacey Johansing, as well Rob Barbato on guitar help round out the single.

Being released April 12 on Danger Mouse’s 30th Century Records, Big Search’s latest offering Slow Fascination, songs like “Stillness In The Air” will indeed bring a spotlight on what has been a period of time that has been turbulent for Popleluch.  Monumental life events such as the dissolution of his marriage were explored in the writing process of the new album.
