Young Empires’ debut album The Gates is set for release this Friday, September 4 (Votiv). Flood Magazine premiered the stream and you can listen in full now on Soundcloud.  It’s a triumphant tour de force, deftly delivering chant-worthy choruses and weaving together head-bobbing beatcraft with avant-pop melodies.      LISTEN to “The Gates” via Soundcloud.
The past several months has seen the Toronto band share album tracks including the most recent “Uncover Your Eyes” which premiered via Billboard. Previous to that they released title track “The Gates” (which is currently charting Top 10 at Modern Rock radio in Canada ) and “Sunshine” which has surpassed one million streams on Spotify in less than two months. Additionally, the band’s singles have received rave reviews from the likes of FADER, Stereogum, SPIN, and Wonderland. Most recently the band revealed a stunning video for “The Gates” which you can watch here.

Young Empires will be touring North America in support of the album including a dates at  Los Angeles’ The Echo on September 11 and The Empty Bottle in Chicago on September 27. The full tour is listed below with more to be announced soon.
