Torres, aka Mackenzie Scott, has been crazy-busy since her debut self-titled album was released to much critical acclaim last year—and she’s recording her follow-up as we speak (Rolling Stone’s last issue featured her new single, “New Skin”, which will be on the record–and look for more in-the-studio featurage to come).
TORRES spent 2013 touring and beguiling audiences across North America, the UK, and Europe. Her dynamic live show was one of the highlights of SXSW 2013, and she has shared the stage with Daughter, Okkervil River, Marnie Stern, Deer Tick, Sharon Van Etten and Lady Lamb the Beekeeper.
Her upcoming shows will be great ones—and she’ll be previewing some of the material that will appear on her forthcoming LP.
