Just about one month ago, Australia’s best-kept secret The Smith Street Band released their new single “Surrender.” The song is a triumphant sing along and the first from their highly anticipated new album, Throw Me In The River, available in the U.S. digitally October 28 and physically January 21. Pre-orders for the Jeff Rosenstock (Bomb The Music Industry!) produced record are currently live at store.sideonedummy.com.
Later this fall, they’ll take the new album on the road when they join SideOneDummy Records label mates Restorations for a chunk of tour dates along the east coast following both bands performances at The Fest in Gainesville, FL.
Today, the band releases their prank-laden music video for “Surrender” via Alternative Press. The video is a first person shot of singer/guitarist Wil Wagner getting pummeled with silly string, glitter and just about anything else you can think of, all at the hands of who else but his band mates and friends.
