The Jim Jones Revue will release their eagerly anticipated third studio album The Savage Heart through Play It Again Sam/Punk Rock Blues Records on October 15.  Produced by Jim Sclavunos (of Grinderman / Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds), The Savage Heart’s nine tracks were recorded at The Chapel (Lincolnshire) and West Heath Yard (Edwyn Collins’ London studio) in May 2012.  In this same spirit of bringing new elements into the proceedings, Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, DJ Shadow) was called in to mix the album at Elephant and Castle’s The Engine Room, and Nick Lowe (credited on The Savage Heart as “spiritual advisor”) dropped by rehearsals one day for a casual one-on-one with the band.
