The Dears ready Times Infinity Volume One for Dangerbird

Acclaimed Montreal rock band The Dears have announced the release of their new album, Times Infinity Volume One.
Set for a September 25 release on Dangerbird Records, Times Infinity Volume One is the first new album from the band in four years following a seemingly endless string of personal triumphs and tribulations. During this blurred period, founding member of The Dears Murray Lightburn was unsure of the band’s future. “When you start a band, you never think of the end. When we began work on this album, it was a process that consumed us completely, harkening back to our earliest days. In turn, the record became about sentimentality but in the face of great uncertainty; the concept of eternal love and all its fragility.”
Noisey is now playing the first song “I Used To Pray For The Heavens To Fall” at http://bit.ly/1HHQwfl. This first track encapsulates The Dears’ neo-romantic songwriting and acts as a calling card for Times Infinity Volume One: ranging from electrifying pop to full-on primal screams; grinding guitar solos to soulful baroque.

Times Infinity Volume One was written over a two-year period, and committed to audio at the luxuriant Revolution Recording (Toronto) and Thee Mighty Hotel2Tango (Montréal) studios. The album was produced and mixed by Murray Lightburn, and recorded by Dave Schiffman (Rage Against The Machine), Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire), Efrim Menuck and Thierry Amar (Godspeed You! Black Emperor.)
Known for a commanding live show that established The Dears as a unique and powerful presence, the band will head out on club tour this fall. Stay tuned for dates!
