The Dear Hunter have shared “Waves,” the second track from their forthcoming album Act IV: Rebirth In Reprise, out September 4 on Cave & Canary Goods / Equal Vision Records. The track premiered today via Billboard who called it “a majestic, lushly produced slab of orchestral rock music.” Fans will receive an instant download of “Waves” when they pre-order the record at iTunes, MerchNOW, or Amazon MP3 starting Friday, July 10. Previously released song “A Night On The Town” is also available as a grat track alongside “Waves” when you pre-order the album.

The release of Act IV marks the long-awaited continuation of the band’s six album concept series chronicling the story of a boy at the turn of the century, only referred to as “The Dear Hunter.” The album is available for pre-order starting today at iTunes, Amazon MP3, MerchNOW, and GooglePlay. Album art and full tracklisting are below. This August and early September the band is touring the UK and Europe, marking it their first UK headlining tour with some dates supporting Manchester Orchestra. While in Europe the band will play Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium on August 22. Upon return, the band will kick off their fall headlining tour, The Rebirth Tour, beginning September 11 in Akron, OH at Musica. The tour is making stops along the way at Riot Fest on September 12 in Chicago and in major music markets like Seattle, LA, Austin, and Nashville, before coming to an end at the legendary New York rock club, Irving Plaza, on October 21.
