Thao has confirmed a September and October tour of the U.S. as the direct support for Death Cab For Cutie.  The dates kick off September 22 in Madison, WI and conclude in Chesterfield, MO on October 13.  Along the way the tour hits, Washington, DC, Philadelphia and Atlanta.   Thao will also be headlining the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater in San Francisco this Saturday, September 17.  Tickets are on-sale now and all shows are listed below. 

Thao has spent much of this year and last touring North America in support of Temple – Deluxe Edition (Ribbon Music). The LP is a digital deluxe version of her latest album, 2020’s Temple and features acoustic and string arrangement versions of the LP’s “How Could I,” “Marauders,” “Marrow,” and “Temple.” The San Francisco Chronicle said, “the music takes on a symphonic quality with lush classical strings. It’s hard not to place yourself on the streets of Vietnam, where Nguyen’s mother is from, when hearing this operatic soundtrack, which serves to deepen the imagery of her mother’s journey, already present on every moment of the album.”  Thao most recently released her single “Ambition” across all DSPs.
