Seattle rock band My Goodness are preparing for a busy spring and summer touring the U.S. and in anticipation for the upcoming dates they’ve premiered a new video for their latest single, “Sweet Tooth,” at Relix.com. The song is featured on the band’s new record, Shiver + Shake, which can be purchased at Amazon and iTunes.

“We let our good friend Ryan Rothermel run with his vision for this video, singer/guitarist Joel Schneider tells Relix.com. “”Sweet Tooth” is about the start of a new relationship and the indecision and insecurities that can come along with it. I think Ryan did a great job keeping the video bright and fun to watch and at the same time still maintaining an undertone of what the song is about. We are really happy with the way it turned out. Enjoy!”
My Goodness recently added Cody Votolato, who’s also a member of influential post-hardcore band The Blood Brothers, on bass, who along with Schneider and drummer Andy Lum round out the trio. Votolato’s addition helped expand the breadth and depth of the band’s sound as heard on “Sweet Tooth.”
“”Sweet Tooth” is one of the first songs we wrote as a three-piece band,” Schneider adds. “I think the addition of bass in the songwriting process really sets it apart from some of the other songs on Shiver + Shake. There is a dynamic level to the song that was tough for us to achieve before as a duo. The bass line really carries the song throughout the verses which allows the guitar line to be more reserved until the pre-chorus kicks in.”
Shiver + Shake was produced by legendary recording veteran Rick Parashar (Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Temple of the Dog, Blind Melon) and features gritty and grungy tracks like “Cold Feet Killer,” “Check Your Bones” and “Sweet Tooth.”
