Mogwai, the influential Scottish quintet who revel in deftly crafted, noisy-yet-atmospheric instrumental songs, release Rave Tapes, their eighth studio album, today via Sub Pop in North America.
Rave Tapes, which is currently streaming in its entirety via SoundCloud (https://soundcloud.com/rock-action-records/sets/mogwai-rave-tapes/s-Xg3A4), is garnering rave reviews on both sides of the Atlantic with four-star reviews from UK outlets Mojo, Q and The Guardian.  On this side of the pond, Rolling Stone proclaimed “Many were born to rock. Mogwai were born to score” while Entertainment Weekly, speaking to the album’s first single “Remurdered,” called the new music “an epic instrumental ear-bender.”
Mogwai return to North America in April, adding several performances to their previously announced tour plans, which include a stop at the venerable Coachella Music and Arts Festival.
