Minneapolis sextet Lucy Michelle And The Velvet Lapelles released their newest full length album, HEAT, yesterday. HEAT is the band’s fourth full-length release and their first since 2010’s Good of That. The album was recorded at Vacation Island Recording Studios in Brooklyn with acclaimed producer/engineer Matt Boynton (MGMT, Beirut, Bat for Lashes).
The band also announced that their recently released music video for HEAT’s first single “Just A Kid” will have its MTV premiere on June 11 on their Freshman 5 program. The video was created by Picture Machine Productions, the same team who produced last year’s music video for Bon Iver’s “Calgary.” Watch the video for “Just A Kid” below:

The band will be touring the U.S. in support of HEAT in the coming weeks, playing a handful of shows throughout the Midwest and the West Coast this summer. More dates to be announced. For a full list of tour dates, see below.
