Guitarist John Cummings leaves Mogwai

Mogwai have announced that longtime guitarist John Cummings has left the band. The band wrote that Cummings “decided to leave Mogwai to pursue his own musical projects,” in a statement on their website. They also indicated they will continue as a quartet, but that two more musicians will join them for their upcoming live shows. Read the full statement below.
“We are sad to announce that John Cummings has decided to leave Mogwai to pursue his own musical projects.
We will continue as a four piece of Dominic Aitchison, Stuart Braithwaite, Martin Bulloch and Barry Burns and shall be joined on our upcoming live shows by Scott Paterson and Luke Sutherland.
We wish John all the best with the future.”
