Windhand’s Dorthia Cottrell hits the road for her first ever U.S. tour in support of her highly anticipated debut solo album that drops next week on Forcefield Records. Dorthia has delivered us a remarkable debut made up of ten songs written over the span of a decade that exhibit Dorthia’s palpable vocals and lyrics that will push you into a new realm of heart gripping folk. Her somber acoustic tunes have been described as grieving and sparse, with a nod in the direction of Townes Van Zandt and Gram Parsons, whose “Rake” and “A Song For You” she covers on her debut album.
