No Idea released the debut Self-Titled 7-inch from Dead Bars in 2014. The Gainesville label also released a Split 7-inch between Dead Bars and Sunshine State last year as well.
Dead Bars was formed in 2013 by two drummers from New Jersey who met each other while both living in Seattle, WA. John Maiello and C.J. Frederick (ex- Big Eyes) have been playing drums in punk and hardcore bands for years, but it wasn’t until John decided to step away from the kit and front his own band that he was finally able to embrace his love for fast, catchy, punk rock n’ roll.
With the addition of David Rostro, Jon Lindblom, and Ray McCoy to fill out the band, Dead Bars have two releases under their belts on No Idea, as well as a brand new single titled Emergency, on Japan’s Eager Beaver Records. They are currently working on their debut LP to be released on No Idea in 2016.
