Legendary frontman/songwriter Glenn Danzig (Danzig, Misfits, Samhain) will be hitting the road this fall with his very own The Blackest of the Black Tour. A long-standing tour that Danzig first launched in 2003, The Blackest of the Black Tour 2015 will feature Danzig as well as Superjoint with Phil Anselmo, Veil of Maya, Prong, and Witch Mountain. Hitting cities not visited on Danzig’s recent summer tour, these dates will also include markets the band has not played in many years includingMemphis, New Orleans, Birmingham, and Portland, Maine.
Tickets to the Blackest of the Black dates go on sale Friday, 8/21, and a full list of the tour dates can be found below.
Danzig’s highly anticipated covers album Skeletons is slated for a fall release and he is currently finishing brand-new material for the follow up to 2010’s Deth Red Sabaoth. He is also readying a series of catalog reissues. While many will be re-releases long out of print, in some cases others will be issued on new formats (including vinyl) for the first time ever. All of these titles will see release on Danzig’s own Evillive Records later this year.
