Brooklyn natives Chain Gang Grave have torn off another piece of new EP Bury Them and Keep Quiet and handed it to Decibel Magazine to premiere.
Stream new anti-anthem “Who Taught You,” exclusively via Decibel, here.
As Chain Gang Grave frontman Young Al Bundy chants the shout-along chorus of “Who taught you to hate yourself,” the band pounds out the rawest, noisiest hardcore punk; what sets this quartet apart from all other bands is the way it subtly shifts and drifts from punk to noise-rock to metal, all the while remaining thoroughly caked in noisy grime. Comparisons to The Birthday Party, Flipper, and even Autopsy have been made and all are accurate. Bury Them and Keep Quiet comes out November 13, self-released by the band.
The EP was recorded and mixed by the band in a basement in South Brooklyn and was mastered by James Plotkin of Khanate and OLD. It follows the debut When Your Friends Become Cops EP.
