Astralwerks Records welcomes groundbreaking Australian producer and DJ Alison Wonderland to its roster.
Alison Wonderland brings an extensive musical background to her next-level productions and sets. The prodigious talent began her career as principal cellist in the Sydney Youth Orchestra and played bass in an indie rock band as a teen before discovering electronic music and teaching herself the art of production and DJing.
Her tough, streetwise, of-the-moment sound has caught the ear of both young music fans and uber-tastemakers like Annie Mac and Diplo, who featured her DJ set on his BBC Radio 1 show. The Sydney-based artist has built a devoted following across her homeland; selling more than 10,000 tickets of her innovative Australian warehouse tour, releasing cutting edge videos, and winning fans with her original productions and masterful skills behind the decks.
The artist’s first release via Astralwerks will be the new EP Calm Down. Out November 11 the dynamic five-track collection features #1 HypeM track “I Want U” and the phenomenal new single “Cold” plus three additional tracks .
