“”Apeiron” is a jam session that gets less and less worried about structure as it progresses,” guitarist/vocalist Jamie Davis tells AltPress.com. “This is one of those where we end up squeezing in any influence that’s pumping through each of us in that moment and end up with a Frankenstein of a song. Partially because of that reason, this is one of my personal favorites.”
Artifex Pereo’s debut, Time In Place, is comprised of an eclectic, genre-bending mix of influences and styles that meld together for an impressive and easily accessible collection of beautifully mastered songs. From the complexity and depth of “Apeiron” to the remarkable musicianship of “Hands of Penance,” Time In Place will undoubtedly surprise fans and critics and further cement the band’s place as one of rock’s most innovative new acts.
The band will be hitting the road in late May for a handful of dates in support of the new record.
