It’s possibly the most anticipated television show since Marvel’s Luke Cage broke the internet when it premiered back on September 30, 2016, but The Punisher looks to share the Daredevil ethos in violence. Actor Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Fury, The Accountant) has slowly built his career as both hero and antagonist, sometimes cross-pollinating the roles but one thing remains certain: he’s a damn fine actor. Taking on the role of Frank Castle is no small feat, and when Marvel tossed him into the mix on the second season of Netflix’s Daredevil, the believability of his character role far surpassed everyone’s expectations. This is an angrier Frank Castle, and a more vengeful Punisher.
