Top Ten of Twenty Thirteen: Julian Elorduy of Fine Steps
Former Mayyors dude Julian Elorduy is currently behind Sacramento’s Fine Steps, a finely-tuned surf-leaning, jangle pop band. Fine Steps began as the songwriting project of Elorduy in 2008. It springs from a previously untouched need for expression that Julian lacked in his early years. The first Fine Steps LP, Boy’s Co., which was released in 2012, was recorded at Tiny Telephone and was released on Elorduy’s own Song Records.
