Relapse Records is delighted to announce the signing of electronic / rock pioneer The Album Leaf. The Album Leaf led by Jimmy LaValle, has been a major influential force across many disparate genres of music over the last twenty years, and joins a long line of experimental musicians that have helped shape and define Relapse history.
LaValle commented on the signing,
“I’m very excited to release a new record and to be a part of the Relapse family. This record represents a new musical chapter for me and after making records as the The Album Leaf for nearly two decades, I welcome a fresh start with such an influential, veteran label.”
Relapse is also incredibly excited to announce the release of The Album Leaf’s first full-length album in six years and to share new music from the release. Now twenty years into a career that has seen LaValle exercising his creativity across the realms of film scoring, sound collage, and rock music, via instrumental and vocal-driven compositions alike, LaValle and The Album Leaf’s newly solidified lineup are poised to deliver yet another sonic triumph with 2016’s Between Waves.

Between Waves is set for release on August 26 via Relapse Records on CD/LP/DLX 2xLP/Digital.
