Tenacious D – the greatest band in the world, comprised of Jack Black and Kyle Gass – are thrilled to announce a partnership with community-supported social impact platform Propeller to inspire voters to hit the polls for midterm elections on November 8th. One lucky winner will receive an epic prize package including roundtrip travel and tickets to Tenacious D’s New Years Eve 2-night extravaganza in Las Vegas, a meet and greet with Jack and Kyle, hotel accommodations, rideshare credit and much more.
Fans can visit Propeller for information on how to enter by taking actions such as checking voter registration status and signing up to receive election reminders, as well as by supporting organizations working on today’s biggest issues like abortion rights, climate change, and LGBTQ+ equality . The more actions you take, the more points you earn, and those points can be redeemed for more entries towards winning the trip to Las Vegas.
Propeller will also have a digital presence at all stops during the legendary rock duo’s fall tour, which began September 9 in Wilmington, N.C., to give fans the opportunity to take action at the show for a chance to win a Zoom date with Jack & Kyle. A full list of dates are below. Click HERE to buy tickets.
Sunday night at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia, Tenacious D teamed with nugs.net for a livestream, 100% of the net proceeds from which were donated to Rock The Vote’s voter registration, education and rights initiatives. The group previously donated proceeds from its 2020 cover of “Time Warp” from “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” to Rock The Vote.
Propeller is a public benefit corporation creating social impact initiatives that not only make a positive impact, but also offer artists and partners a new avenue of positively engaging and directly connecting with their audience. The company, which is set to double its revenue for the third consecutive year, continues to reinvest revenue into scaling its social impact campaigns which include recent collaborations with high-profile artists including Lizzo, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, The National, Bon Iver, Lil Dicky, Kevin Gates, Aly & AJ, Jack Johnson and more; festivals and venues include Bonnaroo, Outside Lands and Red Rocks Amphitheatre; and both non- and for-profit organizations including Planned Parenthood, NRDC, HRC, The Trevor Project and Intrepid Travel.
The company is now offering anyone the opportunity to support its continued growth for the first time. With a minimum investment of $250 via fellow public benefit corporation Wefunder — the country’s first and largest crowdfunding platform — everyone from traditional investors to someone making their first impact investment can feel good about where they are aligning their funds.
