Norwegian duo Tape Trash has been playing in bands since their teenage years, drawing inspiration from the music that first made them pick up their instruments. Blending elements of shoegaze, alternative rock, emo, and punk, the band carves out a raw, anthemic sound. EDEN (Tiny Engines) is the band’s sophomore album and will be released on October 31, 2025.
Tape Trash has released three singles from the record so far that explore the band’s dynamic range. New single and album opener, “Rapture Boy”, is a restless indie-punk track that echoes early 2000s records like Mew’s Frengers and Bloc Party’s Silent Alarm. SINCE ’94, the lead single, is a blast of heavy shoegaze-punk, while WE WILL COLLIDE leans into lush and dreamy ’90s fuzz-pop.
