Swervedriver Shares “Butterfly,” Announces New Album

Following last year’s reissue of the band’s legendary and nearly lost LP, 99th Dream, received countless requests to release a vinyl version of Doremi Faso Latido (Outer Battery Records), previously only available as part of the 3CD package. Featuring outtakes and studio demos, the hour-long entry into the annals of Swervedriver history is a must-have for record collectors and will be officially released on 30th August 2024. In addition to containing all eleven tracks featured on the deluxe CD version, there will also be four additional tracks (included digitally) of rare cuts, alternate takes, and live versions when you purchase the record. (see track listing below).

To gild the Lilly even further, news has also reached us that Swervedriver have one eye on the future too, having recently completed recording of new material for an EP, also to be released on Outer Battery Records in this Autumn. Recorded by TJ Doherty, Ride’s Mark Gardener and Rick Beato along with the band, the EP will also feature additional contributions from Will Foster, Calina de la Mare and Sarah Willson.

“We haven’t really done an EP since our days with Creation,” explains guitarist/vocalist, Adam Franklin. “I have no idea why it was the done thing back then, but it was a cool way to present your music with no sort of commitment to direction. You could just go off on one on any song if you wanted, and that’s what we wanted to do again here. I’ve always consumed music via singles anyway and was always partial to a good B-side or three.”
