Best of 2016: Black Table

In October, Silent Pendulum and Moment of Collapse released Black Table’s debut full-length album, Obelisk. Led by the gut-wrenching screams of frontwoman powerhouse Mers Sumida, Black Table presents a version of extreme music that twists, turns, weaves, and unravels. On Obelisk, black metal anguish and post-rock atmospheres collude in new and thrilling ways.  Obelisk was recorded at Backroom Studios, mixed by Billy Anderson (Neurosis, Sleep, Leviathan) and mastered by Colin Marston (Gorguts, Krallice).
Ghettoblaster recently caught up with the band to ask about records that were jarring and thrilling them in 2016. This is what they told us.
