Sometimes it’s easy to fall in love, and Sugar Candy Mountain can provide the soundtrack even if it’s an unrequited love. The California duo is set to self-release its fourth album, Do Right on May 4th, a pastiche of sound leaning a bit heavier on synthesizers than on previous albums. The band’s softer delivery finds itself established firmly in 60’s and 70’s pop without dating itself. Literally, Brian Wilson has nothing on this band. Everyone can easily scale the group’s musical walls and once you’re there, you’ll be all in.
Sugar Candy Mountain premieres “Crystalline,” off of the forthcoming album and the band gives you a quick peek into its deep sweetness.
