Lost Lander, who has received welcome comparisons to Peter Gabriel, is excited to unleash their upcoming project, which could be considered their The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. The 80-minute story titled, Aberdeen is a one-person performance that is described as “part rock concert, part podcast and part The Twilight Zone.”

Lost Lander frontman Matt Sheehy has played in EL VY with the National’s Matt Berninger, who describes the performance as “…a trip. Every time I thought I had its number it pulled out the rug and surprised me. Beautiful songs and a truly unbelievable story. Apparently all true.”

The story revolves around Sheehy who took a job as a forester in the rainy and iconic logging town of Aberdeen, Washington. His time living in a cabin in the woods was supposed to be a place to reflect and write songs about a recent breakup and the devastating loss of his mother. But, things took an unexpected turn when Matt meets the Floods, an eccentric local family living near his isolated new home.

The songs from Aberdeen will be released under the Lost Lander moniker and the album features contributions from Drew Shoals (Train), Brent Knopf (EL VY, Menomena), Dave Depper (Death Cab For Cutie), Sean Flinn (Flinn), Sam Vance-Law, Scott Magee (Ural Thomas and the Pain), Dana Bouy (Akron/Family), and Justin Miller.
