California-based Lead Pony formed in 2017 and has already put all of its collective chickens into the ring as a gesture to the world that the message they intend to broadcast shall and will be heard.
With songs of love, death, and every social statement in-between, Lead Pony will surely steal even the most stoic of hearts. The band associates with no manufactured genre, yet they manage to toe any line placed before them. The balance of sexuality and purpose is the very force that makes up the music that they play. The songs are rooted in the past, with colorful fuzz, dangerous piano, and feverish drumming.
Today, Lead Pony moves along at its regular hasty tempo to deliver a seven-inch single and a full-length by the end of summer. Today, Ghettoblaster has the pleasure of sharing both songs from their single, which you can enjoy below.
This is what the band had to say about it:
“Two Love Songs is a showcase of two of the many moods in the arsenal of the band. ‘Breaker’ is a hard driving tune that questions the meaning of the trials of partnership. ‘Soul Sucker’ explores the darker paths our minds tend to conjure, perhaps more than we care to admit.”
“Breaker (don’t touch me)”
“Soul Sucker”
