Colorado-based alternative rock band, No Signal — introduces a new auditory avenue with their genre-defying release. No Signal’s arena-ready signature sound with new tastes for deep illusionment, mind-bending choral transitions, and overall conceptual complexity make you forget you’re listening to a band fronted by a 20-year-old. Through sonic storylines and progressive rock tones, No Signal’s music is an immersive experience. The overarching concepts — whether sonic or thematic — guide listeners through chapters of No Signal’s story and outlines what’s to come.
“Embers” is the second single from No Signal’s upcoming sophomore LP slated for release Fall of 2023, is their most ‘mainstream’ track to date. Accompanied by soothing energy and thoughtful delivery, No Signal reaches new heights in its evolution as a band. “Embers” was recorded at the artist’s studio in Boulder, Colorado. The track was mixed by seven-time Grammy Award winner Brian Vibberts (Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Chick Corea, Metallica, Green Day, Mariah Carey, and more). No Signal has also recently inked a deal with three-time Grammy-winning producer David Bottrill (Muse, Tool, Mastodon, Stone Sour) to work on the LP.
Riley Schmelzer…
Of the track, No Signal’s Riley Schmelzer says, “Using wildfires as a metaphor, ‘Embers’ is simply about moving on from the past. Embers are a representation of what you’re trying to move on from, and the fire is the thing that provoked you to do so. The many embers represent many things. They float around you and catch alight the world around and ahead of you as you try to escape that fire. Working to leave them behind as they’re omnipresent in your life.”
