When four musicians get together – Joey Gorman (vocals, guitar), Ricky Williford (lead guitar, backing vocals) Matthew Gibbons (bass, backing vocals), and Noah Hall (drums) – something magical happens. Together as Joe Gorgeous, this punchy Fort Worth, Texas power-pop-punk outfit offers music that’s engaging with a wide array of vibrancy.
After years of honing and perfecting its style, the band is set to release its debut long-player, Life In The Faust Lane (Mock Records), with an expected release date sometime in the fall of 2022. As the band prepares for its full-length launch, the group shares its new single in “Vietnamese Coffee.” The single’s infectiousness is one thing that cannot be denied with cathedral-sized hooks, 70’s expressive melodies directly exploding out of speakers, and grandiose harmonies. We can all expect much more from the album itself.
Of the song itself, Joe Gorgeous offers:
“Although only 2 and 1/2 minutes long, once it was played back in the control room, and we heard it for the 1st time outside “just a demo. Vietnamese Coffee immediately became the audible ambassador for the rest of the record. Expressing a quick look into every literal and metaphysical piece of emotional foundation that this LP and this band are built upon. We are really excited to share this with everyone!”
