Song Premiere | Chinese Junk, ‘Your Family Are Robots’

Chinese Junk

The forthcoming split between Gino & The Goons and Chinese Junk is nothing if not a cranked-up garage punk LP for true degenerates. Gino and the Goons hit with their signature recklessness, loose, loud, and dirty rock and roll with stomping rhythms. Meanwhile, Chinese Junk come in swinging from the UK with hook-laden punk rockers, wrapped in a snotty, scuzzy lo-fi attack.

Whether you’re tossing beers in your basement or screaming down a dirt road at 100 mph, this split will deliver the anxiety-ridden chaos your soul craves.  The sound of sweat-filled shows and sweat-soaked rebellion. Get it while it’s still dripping on Big Neck Records here

Today, we premiere Chinese Junk’s “Your Family Are Robots.” The band’s Ben Nuthink says:

“I like it when bands mention their parents and siblings in songs. The Ramones mentioned ‘Mommy and Daddy’ in some of their songs, and bands like the Angry Samoans and early Queers did too. This song is about the idea of finding out that the reason your family are different to you is because they’re actually robots.

“It starts with ‘Your Mum’s being weird and your Dad’s always been so square. Your sister’s talkin’ shit and your brother- well, he ain’t all there.’ The listener could assume this song is about teenage alienation, but it’s equally a dumb, fun song that makes for the perfect B-movie sci-fi horror. We’ve never made a proper video for a song involving actual acting and props, but if we had, this song would’ve made a good video!”

Talk Trash with Gino & The Goons and Chinese Junk sees release July 18.
